Maple Sugaring at Indian Springs Metropark

Learn the history of the maple sugaring process and take a hike to the sugar bush. Find out how to choose and tap a tree, then hit the sugar shack to see the boiling process. Register.

Jump on the wagon – the hay wagon that is! – and head out to see how a tree is tapped for its sap. Then make your way back to see how the sap converts to syrup. Dress for the weather, boots are a must! Note: There won't be any tours on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Preschoolers ages 2-4 can get up close and personal with a maple tree to learn about sap, and the yummy goodness we can make from it. Afterwards, they can enjoy a snack.
