Bestest Concert Ever III at Royal Oak Farmers Market

Get ready to rock with Candy Band, Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music and more when this show of family fun and songs returns March 22, 2014

The Royal Oak Farmers Market transforms into a kindie rock paradise on Saturday, March 22, 2014 when the Bestest Concert Ever III takes over! Catch live performances by Candy Band, Amy Gore & Her Valentines, The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music and the Royal Oak High School Jazz Combo.

This concert benefits the Royal Oak High School Band and Orchestra Instrument Fund and Live the Music Foundation, also based in Royal Oak. For a $5 admission per person, families enjoy not only live tunes, but also plenty of other activities throughout the evening.

Kids get the rock-star treatment at some cool, creative stations including the Crazy Hair Salon, Zany Face Painting area or dress-up station to complete their rockin' look. Take some Rockin' the Red Carpet photos, too!

And if you've got a future musician on your hands, stop by McCourt's Musical Petting Zoo, where your kids can play with a variety of instruments.

There's also food and drinks in store. Grab a bite to eat from Detroit BBQ Company, Del Taco and Creative Confections. Millking It Productions, a Royal Oak company that creates craft beers in cans, offers beverages for mom and dad.

The fun takes place from 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

See the Metro Parent listing for basic details on the Bestest Concert Ever III at the Royal Oak Farmers Market.
