Civil War Remembrance at Greenfield Village in Dearborn
Live re-enactments are among the entertainment during this annual event at The Henry Ford, May 25-27, 2013
A time to commemorate the period that sparked the creation of paper money, the Underground Railroad, Emancipation Proclamation and a new time of freedom and prosperity in America is just around the corner. Civil War Remembrance returns to the Greenfield Village in Dearborn, May 25-27, 2013 – and the event will educate and entertain people of all ages.
Take a trip to the past and experience first-hand the plight that helped to shape America into the country it is today. See live re-enactments of famous battles across the U.S. and teach your child about our rich history while experiencing famous Union victories in person.
See historical presentations at the Village Pavilion, five live re-enactments, pictures of Infantry soldiers and participate in hands-on activities happening throughout the day.
Join The Henry Ford in a moment of silence at 3 p.m. on Monday to honor those who are fighting for our nation and who have fought in the past.
Event times are as follows:
- Saturday: 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
- Sunday-Monday: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Admission is $24 for ages 13 and older, $17.50 for ages 5-12 and free for ages 4 and under.
