Great Lakes Mega Meet at Suburban Collection Showplace

It's a scrapbooking paradise in Novi, May 8-10, 2014, when this 15th annual event returns with classes, make-and-takes and much more

If you love to scrapbook, you're in luck when the Great Lakes Mega Meet hits the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, May 8-10, 2014.

Celebrating year 15, this annual expo returns with tons of exhibitors, live demos, make-and-take projects and much more. Stock up on scrapbooking gear. Want to take a class? Be sure to bring some basic supplies like scissors, adhesive, a black pen, an X-ACTO knife and a 12-inch trimmer. Check the event's website for details and class information.

The weekend event includes the chance to win some pretty cool merch, too, including daily grind prizes, door prizes and crop prizes. There will be games, too.

Pre-registration is now closed, but you can still gain admission to the convention for $10 (cash only, please). Fees vary depending on the classes you want to take. Event times are as follows:

  • Thursday-Friday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

If you're feeling creative – or just looking for a chance to get out with mom over Mother's Day weekend, this event is a great option – and perfect for all ages.
