Music in the Park Events in Southeast Michigan

The 2014 summer concerts are in full gear. Grab the kids, blankets, favorite snacks and head to shows in Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

Round up your kids and load up your car: Outdoor concerts are happening all over metro Detroit. And most are free! Sing along and dance to some of your favorite tunes at a local park this summer and enjoy quality family time. Why not make a day of it? (Some venues charge a small fee for parking or admission, so don't let one penny go to waste!) So pack your sunscreen, ponchos, umbrellas, sweaters or whatever you need to spend the day appreciating music in the park.

Macomb County

Summer Sounds Presented by Motor City Co-Op Credit Union

This concert series, now in its seventh year, features music from Sun Messengers, Boogie Dynomite, Parrots of the Caribbean, The Square Pegz, Big Will and The 360 Degree Band and many more.

Nashville comes to Macomb County this summer by way of 99.5 WYCD. Grab your cowboy boots and come to downtown Mount Clemens for a free country concert featuring some of your favorite artists, like Jason Michael Carroll, Paulina Jayne, Gunner and the Grizzly Boys and Parmalee.

Riversight and Sound Concert

Air Margaritaville gets things rocking. Families are welcome to bring coolers with food and beverages. Note: The annual fireworks show launches at 10 p.m., after the concert.

Summer Concerts and Kids Day in Shelby Township

Kids get treated to music and movies at this community event. Square Pegz deliver '80s and '90s tunes July 9, Marley-ritaville Band mashes up Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffet July 16 and country rocker Justine Blazer is July 30. The can't miss Kids' Day is July 23, complete with climbing wall and movie Despicable Me.

Music in the Park in Macomb Township

These 90-minute shows go rain or shine! Includes a cool Kidzone play area with fun, games and surprise guests. Music acts include Brian Lorente and the Usual Suspects July 10, The Jerry Ross Band July 17 and Fifty Amp Fuse on July 24. Concessions are available for purchase.

Oakland County

Summer Concert Series in Milford

Friday Nights Music Series in Auburn Hills

Eat to the Beat Lunchtime Series
