Meet Hannah, Metro Parent May 2013 CoverKid – VIDEO

Cute and charming? You bet. This 5-year-old from St. Clair Shores chats about Mother's Day, Jet Skis and even tells a pretty funny joke in our Q&A.

When she's not channeling a pretty-in-pink queen of France, Hannah, Metro Parent's May 2013 magazine CoverKid, is letting her blond hair down – on a Jet Ski! Meet this darling St. Clair Shores kid in our behind-the-scenes conversation with her. She got all gussied up as kindergartener version of Marie Antoinette for our cover story on classic parenting.

In the video, watch how we got Hannah's hair to hit such great, curly, poofy heights, find out what she's doing for her mom for Mother's Day (get ready to go "aww!") and hear all about the Jet Skiing adventures this east-side gal has planned for the summer. She also dishes a solid joke about a sea-faring snail that got our crew cracking up.

Interested in your kid being on the cover of Metro Parent magazine? Check out the Metro Parent CoverKids page! You'll learn all about how you can submit your kid's photo online for a shot at one of 10 top spots (the contest happens once a year). Natural self-confidence, poise and personality are what it takes (as you can see with Hannah). We hope you'll get your kids involved with the next CoverKids. You never know: The might wind up in the spotlight, too!
