Best Skiing and Snowboarding in, around Southeast Michigan

For your next family winter getaway, spend a day (or more) conquering the snow-covered mountains at great ski resorts in metro Detroit and beyond in 2013-14

Ask any Michigander and they'll agree: Hitting the slopes is one of the region's favorite winter pastimes. We've compiled this list of ski resorts that are of great quality and close to home. Be sure to check the websites which sometimes offer partial season passes and other discounts.

You may not have to wait long to make one of these trips, as many of these resorts have their own snow-making machines when temperatures dip low enough!
