For more than 50 years, Matthes Evergreen Farm has been serving southeast Michigan. Not only will you find pre-cut and u-cut Christmas trees here, but you'll also find plenty of entertainment for the family. There's entertainment in the heated barn on weekends and hayrides for the kids.

Middle Road Tree Farm has been in business for more than 30 years, making it a family favorite in the area. You can cut your own tree, or pick from a pre-cut selection.

After choosing from eight species of u-cut trees or selecting a pre-cut tree, gather around a fire pit with a cup of hot cider and some baked goods. Don't forget to see Santa on Saturdays and Sundays – and have your picture taken in front of the 12-foot tree.

Ryan's Nursery, a family-oriented business that's been open for 23 years, has seven different types of trees to pick from. And, for an extra $2, you can have the tree wrapped to take home.

The 80-acre family-owned farm has a lush landscape full of wildlife and is surrounded by Ortonville State Recreation Area. After cutting down your perfect tree, stop into a warming shed to sip some hot drinks and enjoy a snack.

Westman's has thousands of trees to pick from, ranging from 5- to 9-feet tall all the way to 10- to 15-footers. Westman's is also "senior friendly," making it easy for the whole family to take part in the family tradition.
