Novi Pet Expo at Suburban Collection Showplace

This family fun event, now in its 10th year, gives kids and parents the chance to interact with (and possibly adopt) dogs, cats and more Nov. 15-17, 2013

Cute, cuddly and totally adoptable: That captures the critters you'll meet at the 10th annual Novi Pet Expo, heading to Suburban Collection Showplace Nov. 15-17, 2013. This event brings tons of fun and for the whole family – pets included!

The Novi Pet Expo provides a unique and exciting experience for pet lovers across southeast Michigan. For three whole days, can get up-close with adoptable animals – cats and dogs, as well as other creatures – and learn more about the responsibilities of pet ownership.

Perfect for the whole family, the expo includes exhibits focused on birds, reptiles, cats, dogs and fish. There's also a Kids World area and plenty of activities and entertainment, including the Classic K-9 Show, Clifford the Morgan Horse, popular Rock-N-Roll K-9's Performance Team, a show by John Lege (aka "That Guy with the Birds"), a cat show by TICA (The International Cat Association) and pony rides and a petting farm by Green Acres of Highland, Mich.

Your family's own well-behaved pets are also welcome to attend. Pets must be on a 6-foot-maximum leash (retractable leashes aren't permitted). There's a pet potty area, but you must bring proper supplies to clean up if your pet has an accident. Note that pet birds aren't allowed, due to health concerns for these creatures.

The hours for the 2013 Novi Pet Expo are as follows:

  • Friday: noon-8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids and free for the little ones under age 5. Parking in the center's lot is $5.
