The festivities on Oct. 8 include an apple pie contest, hula hoop contest and cow milking contest. Chainsaw carver Lonnie Giles is doing demonstrations, plus the Detroit Edison Public School Academy band performs.

Oct. 15 promises pumpkin carving, karate demos and the Sibling Rivalry Band. And return on Oct. 29 for live music and the Eastern Market scavenger hunt.

The fun happens 9 a.m.-3 p.m. – and it's all free!
