Where to Find Family Fall Farm Fun in Metro Detroit

Pick the perfect pumpkin or just enjoy some unplugged time together in nature.

The air is crisper and the leaves on the trees are changing to yellows, oranges and reds. While school has begun, that doesn’t mean you still can’t have some fun. 

Check out these local farms in metro Detroit and Ann Arbor that your family is sure to love. Pick up a pumpkin to take home and carve or some apples to enjoy. Some of the farms even have animals to feed or pet and corn mazes that challenge your family teamwork. 

Blake’s Big Apple

Fall attractions include a three-story haunted barn, Zombie Paintball experience, haunted hayride, u-pick options and Funland with a children’s play area, animal farm and corn maze. Enjoy fudge, kettle corn and caramel apples. 

Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill

Head into the fields to pick your own apples, pumpkins and flowers. The Funland has a petting farm, haunted village, Amish play structures, animated scarecrow band, straw mountain, cornfield maze, miniature goat walk and storybook barn. Be sure to grab some cider.  

Cook’s Farm Dairy 

In October families can enjoy hayrides to the pumpkin patch to pick their own pumpkins. Try seasonal ice cream flavors like pumpkin crunch, s’more cowbell and maple walnut while there. 

DeBuck’s Family Farm

On this farm run by two generations, try the 15-acre corn maze, pumpkin picking, wagon rides and giant slide. The Fall Festival is Sept. 16-17, 23-24, 30. 

Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill 

Try the corn maze, petting farm, pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides, hay pile and fresh apple cider. The Cider Fest is Sept. 23-24. Pre-packaged apples available in mid-September. 

Long Family Orchard & Farm

Enjoy a u-pick pumpkin patch, hayride, corn maze, petting farm, bounce house, jumping pillows, straw tunnels and photo ops. 

Maybury Farm

On weekends in September and October, try a nine-acre corn maze, visit with the farm animals, take a tractor-driven wagon ride and indulge in cider and doughnuts. Fall festival is Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

Nixon Farms

Operated by the Nixon family for more than 100 years, take a tractor-drawn hayride to the pumpkin patch or get lost in the Blast Corn Maze. 

Three Cedars Farm

Pick your own pumpkins or test your skills in the seven-acre corn maze. The Barn Yard playland has animals, train rides and hayrides. Try pasteurized cider, doughnuts, cider slushies, hot apple cider and caramel apples. 

Westview Orchards 

Check out a petting zoo, three-acre playground, u-pick apple and pumpkins, corn maze, wagon rides and straw mountain. Don’t miss the doughnuts, pies and flips.

Wiard’s Orchards & Country Fair

Wednesday-Sunday attractions include corn maze, animal petting farm, u-pick apples and pumpkins, wagon rides and playground. Saturday-Sunday attractions include inflatables, apple cannons and fire engine rides. Enjoy fresh baked goods and fresh-pressed cider.
