Win Tickets to the Young People’s Family Concert Series by the DSO

Looking for a unique way to spend some time with the kids? The Detroit Symphony Orchestra hosts a Young People’s Family Concerts series at 11 a.m. on select Saturdays throughout the year. It’s especially for kids ages 6 and older.

Here’s what you’ll see during the 2017-18 season:

Oct. 28: Halloween in Hollywood. Don your chosen Halloween costume and head to this show to celebrate the spookiest of all the holidays with Halloween music, a costume contest and more.

Nov. 18: Peter and the Wolf. Kids will learn all about the musical instruments used by the orchestra during this musical version of the classic Prokofiev tale.

March 24: The Conductor’s Spellbook. This interactive show tells the story of a young boy who visited the DSO and found a book that controls the orchestra.

May 5: Mozart’s Magnificent Voyage. This kids’ show features 23 excerpts of Mozart’s music and follows the musical master’s young son as he travels back in time to his father’s childhood.

A family four-pack to this series could cost you upwards of $40 but if you enter this contest by Sept. 27, 2017, you could take home this package, that’s four tickets to all four shows, absolute free. And if you have younger kids, be sure to check out the DSO’s Tiny Tots series for kids 2-5. You can win tickets to that series through Metro Parent, too.

By entering this contest you agree that Metro Parent and, in some cases, our sponsors can contact you with information that may be of interest to you.
