The annual Arts, Beats and Eats in downtown Royal Oak keeps Michiganders returning year after year for the wonderful music stages, mouthwatering food and incredible art – and the fest itself is returning Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-7, 2015.
The festival holds 10 stages filled with different themed music – and even one just for the kids. The Oakland County Kids Stage features puppet shows, Total Health Care Fun Fit Kids, magic shows, jugglers and kid bands. The stage runs everyday noon-8 p.m. Other stages include artists like Neon Trees, Acoustic Madness and DJ Ryan Richards.
Grab your food tickets and sample many local restaurants throughout the weekend. This year, 16 food tickets can be bought for $10. All food vendors at the event will only be accepting food tickets as payment.
Over 100 artists will be having their work on display all weekend for viewing and purchase. Sculptures, designers, jewelry makers, photographers and painters show off their best work and speak on the unique materials and techniques they use.
Arts, Beats & Eats will run 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Sunday, and 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday. Admission is free before 5 p.m. on Friday, $3 before 3 p.m. and $5 after 3 p.m. Kids under age 3 are free.
