Looking for a spot for your next girls’ day? Why not make it a weekend and head to the Michigan International Women’s Show, happening April 30-May 3, 2015 at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi. Enjoy shopping, live entertainment, celebrity guest appearances, presentations, gift giveaways, demonstrations and more – all focused on being a woman.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of this annual show and the earlier you get there, the more chances you have to celebrate. The first 100 guests in line will get a mini cupcake from Mackenzie’s Sugar House in Southgate. Once inside, look for a gift bag stuffed with prizes, courtesy of 96.3 WDVD, or sign up at the door to win $20.
Once inside, you’ll find tons of shops set up with loads of deals on jewelry and clothing, home décor, bath accessories and more. You’ll also have the chance to decorate a cake and enjoy cooking demonstrations by Chef Paul Penney, among others. Get a new look with world-renowned stylist Michael O’Rourke, too.
Moms and daughters will find fun of their own on Mother Daughter Day on Sunday – where they will enjoy a visit from Frozen‘s Elsa and Anna, a mother-daughter fashion show and more.
You’ll also find tons of health and beauty related presentations, celebrity guest appearances from Randy Fenoli of Say Yes to the Dress, Ashley Gold of Hardcore Pawn and others, a Firefighter Fashion Show featuring the Western Wayne Fire Department, a pet fashion show, prize packages and games.
