Whether they’re furry, shaved, scaly or covered in feathers, a host of critters will be ready to greet you at the 12th annual Novi Pet Expo at Suburban Collection Showplace Nov. 20-22, 2015. All creature lovers are invited – including the family pets.
For three days, the expo introduces visitors to canines, house cats, exotic birds, more than 50 species of reptiles and professionals with tips and advice regarding pet ownership.
You can microchip your furry friends on-site. Peruse the rescue spaces if you’re considering adoption and the more than 100 business booths to get the scoop on the latest innovations and purchase pet gear. Throughout the day, stop by the main stage to hear trainers and clinicians offer expert advice.
The kids (human or otherwise) can take pictures with Santa on Saturday and Sunday. The human youngsters can ride ponies, and the whole family can see different sizes and breeds of dog tackle Treibball demonstrations, a sport that uses exercise balls, the popular Rock-N-Roll K-9’s Performance Team, Ultimate Air Dogs’ dock-diving show, Mayya Panfilova’s troupe of performing house cats along with Andriy Bilobrov’s performing canines.
No matter your pet preference, there’s fun here for the entire family. Your own well-socialized dog is invited to attend with proof of current vaccination. Dogs must be at least 6 months old. Leashes may be no more than 6-feet long, and retractable leashes aren’t allowed. Be sure to bring your own poop-scooping and cleanup supplies.
