Come out to support anything and everything made in the mitten state for the annual Buy Michigan Now Festival from July 31 to Aug. 2, 2015 as it returns to downtown Northville for the seventh year in a row.
The event is packed with family-fun festivities. Children can enjoy the kid zone, which contains everything from colorful arts and crafts to games and contests with the chance to win prizes.
Parents can find great deals and custom-made products sold by Michigan businesses perfect for decorating homes or as gifts for friends.
Relax by indulging in tasteful homegrown food while being captivated by the tricks of magicians or listening to the sounds of talented musicians in the background.
Don’t forget to say hello to Paws and your other favorite Michigan mascots while roaming around the festival.
Local authors will also be in attendance to share their stories as well as Days of Our Lives co-stars Shawn Christian and Ari Zucker who will be hosting special events throughout the festival. The events will be used to raise money to bring Arrow-Heart Adventure Camp to at-risk youth in Michigan.
This year the event will also have a complimentary Michigan Wine and Beer Garden sponsored by the Northville Chamber of Commerce. The money raised will go to the Chamber and Buy Michigan Now campaign.
The festival allows you to discover and support the many Michigan entrepreneurs and businesses growing in the state. From classic home-state themed T-shirts to sweet-scented candles, vendors have a variety of tailored goods for everyone.
This is the ideal festival to attend if you are looking for some nice gear or home goods to show off your Michigan pride.
Event times are as follows:
- Friday: noon-8 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
