From princesses with pixie dust to pirates on the pacific blues, kids can let their imaginations run wild when they follow the second start to the right on June 28, 2014, and take a trip to the Fairy Tale Festival at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.
Spend the day interacting with many make-believe characters from some of your youngster's favorite classic stories, all while having fun being a kid with them.
Meet Captain Hook, explore Tinker Bell's cottage and even hear a singing mermaid. Take a trip to Neverland and join in a "learn to fly" training session. Plus, go rock climbing with the Lost Boys and participate in storytelling, crafts and so much more.
Your family can enjoy a lunch provided by the Dearborn Sausage Company, along with theatrical performances from some of the greatest fairy tale productions of all time, like Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid.
The festival will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance and range from $12 per person to $40 for a family four pack, which includes four individual tickets and four hot dogs. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $15. All children under 2 are free.
