Maker Faire Detroit, the greatest show-and-tell on Earth, returns to The Henry Ford in Dearborn, July 25-26, 2015, for two days of unchecked creativity and innovative fun.

Makers from all walks of life come to show their hands-on projects and express their forward thinking. At Maker Faire, Henry Ford will host basement tinkers, tech enthusiasts, crafters and scientists inspire do-it-yourself culture and resourcefulness with robots, flame shooters, animatronics, solar-powered mechanical sculptures and more. Visitors can even roll up their sleeves and make something!

Seventy new makers will debut their projects this year, including a three-story Hot Wheels ramp. Get inside a 50-foot, motion-simulator rocket named the Astroliner. Find the music fans at the 53-foot, interactive mobile experience, celebrating the tunes of Les Paul. Clown around with Cirque Mechanics, a performance group appearing at Maker Faire for the first time. Witness their storytelling and innovative mechanical staging through acrobatics. And don’t miss out on the bead crafting, the classic Coke and Mentos demonstrations, the interactive electronics labs and student-built concept-car drag racing.

Maker Faire Detroit’s outdoor midway has a new location this year: the Lovett Hall lot located behind the museum, providing guests with more convenient parking opportunities and easier access to makers.

Celebrate your right to tweak, hack, and bend technology at this year’s Maker Faire, running 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are $28/ages 13-61, $26/ages 62 and up, $19/ages 5-12 and free/ages 4 and under. Members of The Henry Ford get 50 percent off all tickets prices, and visitors of the event both days receive 15 percent off their total ticket purchases. Parking is $6/vehicle for non-members, free/members.
