Elvisfest in Ypsilanti

Elvisfest hits center stage in Ypsilanti, July 10-11, 2015, featuring tunes and retro fun for the entire family.

Elvisfest in Ypsilanti

Elvis Presley sings again at Elvistfest at Ypsilanti’s Historic Depot Town, July 10-11, 2015. This outdoor music festival features a host of tribute artists. Other talented impersonators include Reba McEntire, Tom Jones and more.

Spend the weekend noshing on fair food and rocking out to legendary hits. Elvis memorabilia will be on sale, the America’s Most Wanted Car Club will showcase classic cars, and a micro-brewery will serve cold ones all weekend long. Participate in Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels’ raffle for a chance to win a VIP trip for two to Graceland.

Friday night, savor Happy Hour from 4 to 5 p.m. at the beer tent, where you can crack open micro brews, wine coolers and Budweiser for lower prices.

Saturday is geared more toward the kids. They can explore the Kids Korner noon-6 p.m. – where they can jump on inflatables, create “make it, take it” crafts, and tackle other activities including the Children’s Costume Contest 1-2 p.m. But in the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, adults have been known to dress like Elvis, pull out their bellbottoms from the back of their closets, and wear their favorite updos or poodle skirts, too.

Light a flame for the King at Saturday night’s candle light vigil to commemorate the anniversary of Elvis’ death.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to shake, rattle and roll with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll at Historic Depot Town. Hours of operation are as follows:

  • Friday: 5 p.m.-midnight Friday
  • Saturday: noon-midnight

Admission to the event is $20 on Friday, $30 on Saturday and free for kids 12 and under. You can purchase advance tickets online through July 7.
