Salute to America at Greenfield Village in Dearborn

Why have one Fourth of July party when you can have four? This year, celebrate America's independence with four days full of Independence Day festivities and family fun at Salute to America at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, July 2-5, 2014.

This year, The Henry Ford pulls out all of the stops with games, music, holiday food, kids activities and more.

Each evening, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the United States Army Field Band, Concert Band and Soldiers Chorus will play a joint concert featuring a grand finale performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture by the DSO – accompanied by fireworks and authentic cannon fire! 

The event will also feature a drum and fife parade and live pre-show music.

Salute to America takes place each day from 6 until 10 p.m. Tickets are on sale now through the Henry Ford Call Center. Ticket prices range from $12.75 to $20.50 for members and $15 to $24 for nonmembers. Parking is $5 per vehicle.

Keep your kids happy on the walk to the stage by dressing them in comfy clothes and shoes. Seating will not be provided; folding chairs and lawn blankets are welcome.
