Uncle Sam Jam at Civic Center Park in Woodhaven

Music and fireworks keep the patriotic spirit going after the Fourth of July at the annual Uncle Sam Jam festival, happening July 11-14, 2019.

Just because the Fourth of July is over doesn’t mean you can’t keep the party going longer – and the best place to party is the Uncle Sam Jam in Woodhaven, July 11-14, 2019.

Come out for the free-admission July festival. There will be a bunch of music acts, including big names like The Guess Who, Sugar Ray and many others.

The carnival will be in full swing all weekend. Rides include a roller coaster and a water slide, as well as 30 other rides for the whole family to enjoy. Bonus: Thursday is Family Day, so wristbands are half price.

Keep the merriment going with a fireworks show at dusk on Friday, July 12, or if pyrotechnics and a smoking guitar aren’t your style, there are plenty of other activities that are family friendly and fun.

The petting zoo is open every day, so bring the kids to see all of the cool animals.

Or, if your child doesn’t want to play with the animals, maybe they want to ride in a monster truck! You read that right: Shell-Camino is on display and offering rides Thursday-Sunday all day long!

There’s so much more to explore at this can’t-miss event, which has become a tradition for southern Wayne County families, and your family can join in:

  • 4-11 p.m. Thursday
  • 4 p.m.-midnight Friday
  • noon-midnight Saturday
  • noon-11 p.m. Sunday

Admission is free, but there’s a $13-$27 fee for ride wristbands depending on the day you go. Additional fees may apply for some events.
