For Independence Day 2023, southeast Michigan residents are celebrating with tons of Fourth of July fireworks displays and fun events — all you have to do is find the right one for you and your family.

Livonia Spree

June 20-25, 2023 

This fest celebrates the city’s 73rd birthday with a kid’s zone, costumed characters, pig and duck races, petting farm, music and fireworks the final night.

Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival

June 21-25, 2023 

  • Address: Downtown New Baltimore area
  • Cost: Free, fees for some activities; preregister to enter competitions

The short-lived water bugs drive the theme of this fest, which has a carnival, fireworks, parade, kids activities, cardboard boat race, corn hole tournament and more.

Lite the Night Fireworks

June 22, 2023

Bring your own blanket and chairs to this annual fireworks display in Sibley Square Park. Fireworks start promptly once it gets dark.

Taylor Summer Festival

This fest features live music, carnival rides, fair food and, of course, fireworks.

Arrive early to stake your spot along the riverfront and enjoy the dazzling fireworks show. If the riverfront is packed by the time the display begins at dusk, extra seating is available in the vacant lot next to the court building.

The 12th Annual Walled Lake Civic Fund Fireworks Show

This fireworks celebration has been happening for the past 12 years. Families can watch the Walled Lake Fireworks light up the sky over Walled Lake. Fireworks begin at dusk.

M1 Cars Under the Stars Fireworks Spectacular

  • Cost: $10/Pontiac residents (walk-in, no vehicle), $20/nonresidents (walk-in, no vehicle), $30/track parking (includes driver and passengers), $45/arena parking (includes driver and passengers)

Head to M1 Concourse’s 6th Annual Cars Under the Stars Fireworks Spectacular. The firework show will begin at dusk. There will also be live music, food trucks and fireworks at M1 Concourse.

Ford Fireworks 

June 26, 2023 

This event is recognized as one of America’s largest and most magnificent fireworks displays. It’s a spectacular summer tradition in the city and is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of spectators. The fireworks are shot off from three barges on the Detroit River.

Festival of the Hills 

June 28, 2023 

Michigan’s second-largest fireworks display is the big draw. Plus, enjoy plenty of family games and live entertainment.

Fireworks at Stony Creek Metropark 

June 30, 2023

Join the tens of thousands of Macomb County neighbors for the Stony Creek Metropark fireworks show. Participants just need to pack some food, grab a picnic blanket and enjoy the show under the stars. Macomb Symphony Orchestra will be playing their show “Celebrate America”, with special guest the 338th Army Band. Orchestra and Band will play from 7-9:15 p.m. For all ages.

Salute to America: Summer Stroll

June 30-July 3, 2023

Wander through Greenfield Village and enjoy small ensembles from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra scattered around the open-air history museum. American history is proudly on display at the event with choral-singing, ragtime, jazz and more on the setlist. Guests can enjoy marching fifes and drums and a booming fireworks display.

Fireworks at Willow Metropark

July 1, 2023

Willow Metropark sets off a dazzling fireworks display that’s fun for the whole family. Live entertainment provided by the Rick Lieder Trio starts at 6 p.m. Fireworks display begins at 10 p.m.

Independence Fest

July 1, 2023

Clawson 4th of July Freedom Festival

July 4, 2023

Head to Clawson Park to join in on the Fourth of July fun including live music, food trucks, arts and crafts fair, fireworks and more.

Clinton Township Fireworks

July 5, 2023

Families can enjoy inflatables, face painting, food vendors and live musical performances during the day and a fireworks show at dusk.

Uncle Sam Jam

New Haven Red, Hot & Blue Festival
