New Years Eve Family Fun in Southeast Michigan

So Junior has a bedtime but wants to celebrate the New Year, too? Well, you don’t have to choose between 2015 and your child’s sleep patterns this New Year’s Eve. Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties are packed with fun New Year’s activities and events (and even a ball drop) for both parents and kids to enjoy well before midnight (and a few long-night/overnighter events for older kids!).

Motor City NYE 2015 in Detroit, The Drop in Detroit

The whole event lasts well into New Year’s Day for adults, but there’s a Kids Zone open 4-7 p.m. that features a maze, magician, face painting, karaoke and much more. Kids can watch the D-Burst Sculpture drop at 6:30 p.m. There’s also ice-skating at the park, horse-drawn carriage rides, entertainment from local performers for everyone and another drop at midnight too.

New Year’s Eve in Never Never Land in Mount Clemens

Take a trip to Never Never Land this New Year’s Eve. Peter Pan and Captain Hook will be there singing karaoke along with Elsa from Frozen, who will be leading arts and crafts. There are also pony rides, a petting zoo, train rides on Thomas the train and magic shows at 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. Dress up like a princess and get a picture with Elsa, Anna and Olaf – or wear your favorite pirate attire to walk the plank of the pirate ship. Then grab a good seat near Fairy Godmother for a countdown to fireworks at 9 p.m.!

Northville Nite Family New Year’s Eve Party

Noon Year’s Eve at Dossin Great Lakes Museum in Detroit
