Get ready to hop on the thrill rides, dance the night away and eat all the authentic polish food your stomach can handle. The St. Mary’s Polish Country Fair is returning to Orchard Lake May 23-26, 2014.
Considered the state’s largest country fair and a Michigan tradition for 43 years, St. Mary’s Preparatory plans to host more than 110,000 people at its annual fest this year. For those who like to stay local for the holiday weekend, this is just the celebration for you!
With more than 45 carnival rides for kids, including a daring 80-foot rollercoaster, there area choices for all ages. Save your appetite for afterward: There will be a wide variety of both authentic Polish and all-American foods to choose from, including pierogi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, sauerkraut, hamburgers and corn dogs.
Also featuring local bands, this event delivers music and dancing, too. In addition to a Vegas tent, bingo and raffles available to the adults, kids can enjoy activities like pottery painting, mosaics and wax hands.
Fair hours will vary throughout the weekend:
- Friday: 5-11 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Monday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
General admission is $10/family or $5/student, and all parking is free on the St. Mary’s Prep grounds.
