Wear a costume to this year’s Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo! This half-mile walk is designed to allow your wee one to trick-or-treat without worry. There’s definitely no need to fear: This Royal Oak event is “merry-not-scary” fun for the whole family.
In 2014, the big boo event happens Oct. 10-12, 17-19 and 24-26, 2014 – rain or shine. Time slots are 6-8 p.m. Fridays and 5-8 p.m. on the weekends. As always, organizers recommend you buy your tickets early; while some will be offered at the door, supplies are very limited, due the popularity of this event.
After your kids stroll and gather goodies, there’s plenty more fun in store. Children can jam out to live entertainment during the Zoo Boo Revue and play some games at the Ghouly Games tent. The Reptile House and Zombie Zone are other can’t-miss spots to play games and participate in cool activities.
Check out the Wild Adventure Zone 4-D Theater or hop on a simulator ride for an extra $5 a person – or $7 if you choose to do both.
Advance tickets are $8 per person, while children under 2 get in free. (There will be very-limited supplies of tickets at the gate after 5 p.m. for $12 – again, though, note that advance registration is highly recommended!). Parking at the zoo is $6.
