Besides celebrating St. Nick and the start of the New Year in the upcoming weeks, families can celebrate creativity and imagination at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum’s Hands-On Holidays event. This year has a “family favorites” theme.
Dec. 26, 2015-Jan. 3, 2016, families can participate in various activities, projects and science. Kids can experience the most requested make-and-take projects, including creating marble-paper bookmarks. After takings a hiatus for a few years, “ice candles” returns. Pour wax over ice creating interesting patterns as the wax rapidly cools. Take home the projects or leave it with the museum for showcasing.
Enjoy performances each day including Beverly Meyer aka “The Music Lady,” Yo-Yo Master Zeemo, Bubble Man Ron Loyd – plus Professor Ray’s Everyday Science returns this year with Spinning Things.
Join in on the family friendly events – and of course, the hands-on fun! Admission is $12 for adults and kids 2 and up. The event times are as follows:
- Dec. 26, 28-31 and Jan. 2: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Dec. 27, 2015 and Jan. 1, 3, 2016: noon-4 p.m.
