Art lovers young and old can take a stroll along Grand River Avenue in Farmington’s downtown area to see and shop for art at the annual Art on the Grand, happening June 4-5, 2016.
This local event is back for a seventh year and packed full of fun for all ages.
Families can check out all kinds of art including paintings, photography, metal work, jewelry, pottery and much more – from 100 artists.
The Detroit Institute of Arts will be hosting hands-on art activities for the kiddies. With the DIA, your kids can learn how to make beautiful paper flowers, and they can also enjoy spin art, sand art, airbrush tattoos and face paintings.
In addition to looking at all of the artists’ work and visiting the DIA kids area, there are plenty of places for outdoor dining and sidewalk shopping, so you can spend the day outside in the fresh air.
The best part? The fun is all for free, so bring the kids to this downtown area to experience the action.
Event times are as follows:
- Saturday, June 4: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Sunday, June 5: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
