This one-of-a-kind festival will stretch down the length of the Detroit Riverfront from the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority Terminal and Dock to Rivard Plaza and the William G. Milliken State Park – and will feature entertainment both on and off of the water. Those with their sea legs enjoy Jet Ski demonstrations by Typhoon Tommy, Coast Guard and Diamond Jack River boat tours, and check out the Appledore IV scooner. Those land lovers can check out the live music, sand sculptures presented by Quicken Loans, Milliken State Park activities sponsored by Pure Michigan, and RiverWalk buskers and street performers. Zip line rides are a new attraction this year – giving you a bird’s eye view of the Detroit River. You’ll fly 300 feet across the sky through Milliken State Park. The cost is $15 for one ride and $25 for two. Parents, don’t forget to stop by the Flagstar Bank Kids Zone for some kid-friendly activities including face painting and crafts! Festival times are as follows: Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Admission costs $3 (or $5 after 3 p.m.). Children under 3 and seniors over 65 can attend the event for free. Ride tickets are 50 cents each or $18 for a full-day ride wristband. Most rides require three to five tickets each.
