What better way to bring your family together than with music? Southeast Michigan is full of summertime concert events for you and your family to enjoy. Sound like the perfect event for you and your crew? Peruse this list to find some of the best music in the park events in Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. Once you find the one for you, grab a blanket and head out for an evening of musical memories. Note: Some events are free, others require a fee for parking or admission. Call ahead to be sure. Macomb County Music at the Market in Warren Times: market: noon-1:30 p.m. Dates: Sundays, May 21-Aug. 27, 2017 Where: Warren City Square, 1 City Square, Warren Phone: 586-264-0959 These afternoon performances feature local artists including Motor City Nite Flight (June 4), and Total Rehab Band (July 30), among others. Sunday Night Concert Time: 6:30-9:30 p.m. Date: Sundays, July 2-Sept. 3, 2017 Address: Lake St. Clair Metropark, 31300 Metropolitan Parkway, Harrison Township Phone: 586-463-4581 Bring a chair, or a blanket, and kick back to some fun tunes across multiple genres. They happen rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather, and bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on during the show.
