Event Details

Detroit Public TV is bringing your favorite shows to a location near you, with a series of quarterly events that transform the latest PBS programs into real life experiences.

The series blasts off in July with American Experience’s Chasing the Moon at the Cranbrook Institute of Science. From there it’s Ken Burns’ Country Music at the Crofoot in September, culinary craft with America’s Test Kitchen in the winter and Asian American culture next spring.

Each DPTV Experience offers enlightened commentary from knowledgeable panelists, unique hands-on activities and exclusive sneak peeks of upcoming PBS specials. In addition, every event features a reception to give DPTV community members a chance to meet and mingle! Join us as the series achieves liftoff with Chasing the Moon at the Cranbrook Institute of Science on Thursday, July 18.

Attend all four events for only $72, or an ongoing contribution of $6 per month. In addition to DPTV Experience event access, you will also receive a one-year subscription to our program guide, Signal Magazine. Plus, you get extended access to DPTV Passport, our on demand library providing hundreds of hours of additional PBS content.
