Tractors, parades and carnival rides, oh my! The Chelsea Community Fair returns for year 77, Aug. 19-23, 2014. This action-packed annual event, which takes place at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds, is bringing home all its traditional activities and attractions once again this year. Featuring some things that are new, classic and even those ol' crowd favorites, this fair has it all covered – and your family should join in all the fun.
A parade on Tuesday evening kicks off the week of events, followed by games like a penny hunt, sack race and other kids activities at night. Although the festival does not start until Tuesday, celebrations begin as early as Sunday with a tractor pull and other exciting activities.
See exhibits in categories like agricultural, antiques, baking, machine sewing, arts and photography – also taking place on Sunday, as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday. Come back Tuesday for a live horse show and visit with Colors the Clown while waiting for the week's first demolition derby to begin.
Help your child head to the top of the class this year.
