A Memorial Day celebration and an engaging history lesson rolled into one? Now that’s thinking smart, and it’s exactly what you’ll get at the Civil War Remembrance at Greenfield Village in Dearborn this Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29, 2017.
Camps, cavalry and period music will pop up all over the village as Union and Confederate re-enactors dress in period clothing and act out scenes from the Civil War. Military tactical demonstrations, historian insights, special presentations and hands-on activities, among others, are included in your experience.
If you’d like to map out your entire day, take a look at the program map, which is available through The Henry Ford’s website.
