Is your child into Barbies or are American Girl Dolls more her thing? If your kid won’t leave the house without her favorite doll, bring her down to Detroit for two full days of doll-themed fun at the 2017 Detroit Doll Show, Nov. 10-11, 2017.
This sixth annual show kicks off on Friday night with a Masquerade party. Come in your favorite dress and mask, or decorate one to wear when you arrive, for a night of dancing, mingling with doll artists, and hors d’oeurves.
And don’t forget to dress up your dolly.
On Saturday, the fun continues with a doll look-a-like contest, doll vendors and guest speakers like Stacey McBride-Irby, who spent 15 years working for Mattel, and American Girl Doll developer, Melody Ellison.
You can even try your hand at some doll-themed crafts and make your very own doll to take home!
The sixth annual Detroit Doll Show happens at the DoubleTree By Hilton in Detroit on Friday, Nov. 10 from 6 to 11:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 11 from noon to 6:30 p.m.
General admission is $25 ($40 for VIP status) on Friday and $10 on Saturday. Parking is free.
