Is your child into Barbies or are American Girl Dolls more their thing? If your kid won’t leave the house without his or her favorite doll, bring them down to Detroit for a day of doll-themed fun at the 2018 Detroit Doll Show.
This seventh annual black doll show is themed to “Loving the Skin You’re In” and kicks off on Saturday Nov. 10, 2018, with a wide variety of fun that kids can enjoy with their dolls.
Get there early and take your doll on a shopping spree in the show’s vendor area. Here, you will find doll clothing, accessories and, of course, actual dolls on display and for sale.
After you purchase your haul, sit in on the show’s panel discussion, ReDefine Your BeaUty. It brings authors, journalists, activists, doll makers and other inspirational doll enthusiasts together to discuss how and why girls should feel pretty and comfortable with who they are, no matter what they look like.
In addition, kids can participate in the doll look-a-like contest or doll-themed crafts – including a make-and-take doll.
The seventh annual Detroit Doll Show happens at the DoubleTree By Hilton in Detroit on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
General admission is $6 in advance or $10 at the door. Parking is free.
