The Dexter Daze festival is back again, and there are plenty of activities for families and kids. The festival runs from Aug. 11-12, 2017 right in downtown Dexter.
Head to the Gazebo on Friday to see musical acts by School of Rock and Toppermost; plus performances, by Yo-Yo Zeemo, Funny Puppet Guy Ventriloquist and America’s Nature Guy at Mill Creek Park.
Start off Saturday morning with the Dexter Daze Parade at 10 a.m., complete with the marching band and Colors the Clown.

After the parade, find more performances in the Gazebo including The Hangabouts, the Randy Brock Group and the Flying Latini Brothers. The park will have even more performing acts as well, including more fun with Colors the Clown, the Rollicking Participatory Children’s Music and the Top Hat Performers.
Saturday, don’t miss the LaFontaine Annual Car Show running 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. And at 8 p.m. Friday, there will be a showing of Men in Black. Then, at 10 p.m. on Saturday, there will be fireworks at Mill Creek Park North to finish off the festival with a bang.
But that’s not all. In addition to these family-centric events, there will be plenty of artists in booths around the fair. And the Chalk the Block contest, where artists create beautiful chalk art on the street. Plus, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, shop the art and business booths – or swing by the social tent 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
Admission to the fair is free, and hours are 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
