Grosse Ile Island Fest at the Grosse Ile Municipal Airport

This year, the family-friendly Grosse Ile Island Fest ushers in summer with rides, games and lots of fun for kids and parents, June 1-3, 2018.

Grab the cooler and bust out the bathing suits – it’s summertime! Celebrate the beginning of vacation time at the Grosse Ile Island Fest at the Grosse Ile Municipal Airport, June 1-3, 2018.

The main daytime attractions include tons of awesome exhibitors with everything from handcrafted goods to clothes, garden art and more – plus there will be food and rides for all ages. Kids and adults alike can have a blast together playing on the midway or watching the Saturday morning street parade.

A classic car show and traditional carnival rides and more also help you and yours kick off the start of the season – and the Saturday evening fireworks display definitely rings it in with a boom. Find lots of fun live entertainment this year, too, like 50 Amp Fuse the DR5 and Toppermost.

Admission to the event is free, but there is a $20-$25 fee for rides. Additional fees may apply for other activities. Islandfest carnival hours are as follows:

  • Friday: 4 p.m.-midnight
  • Saturday: noon.-midnight
  • Sunday: noon-5 p.m.
