Not sure what to do on a Saturday or Sunday? Luckily, southeast Michigan fall festivals are in full swing! Take the family to see animals and try warm donuts and drinks at the Harvest Festival Oct. 3-31, 2015. Dive into what organizers dub a “family tradition” weekends through October.
The festival offers pony rides, meeting the animals, feeding the ducks and milking a few cows. Participate in a 5K trail run and walk, the Barnyard Dash, on Oct. 10, which benefits the Happy Home & Farm.
At various times through the day stop in and enjoy a farm and magic show. (Magic shows starts at 11:45 a.m. Saturdays and 12:45 p.m. Sundays, running once every hour ending at 3:45 p.m.; Farm shows run 11:15 a.m.-4:15 p.m.) Needing birthday party ideas? Host it at the festival. Other activities include picking pumpkins, a hayride in the woods, walking in the storybook trail and watching a farm demonstration.
Now you have plenty of things to do on a Saturday or Sunday in October!
