This is not any average boat show. While boats are a huge draw for the Metro Boat Show at Lake St. Clair Metropark, the Harrison Township event – happening Sept. 13-16, 2018 – takes it up a notch and tacks on activities for the kids, live music, food and much more.
Nautical moms and dads can appreciate the hundreds of boats of all sizes at the show – and there are some you can even board!
After, sail over to the kids zone with the little ones to meet a beautiful mermaid. They can also make a splash in the MacRay Harbor Remote Control Boat Pool, get their faces painted, jump in the bounce houses and try their hands at fishing in the fishing pond, too
While the kids are playing in their area, grown-ups can get in a little fun of their own during the Rendezvous at the Boat Shows Bar. Here, there’s a wide-variety of Michigan craft beer and hard ciders to choose from; plus lawn games and live music.
But that’s not all. Food trucks also set up shop at this annual and so do some must-see boats, including the historic 34-foot Montreal Canoe and the Hot Dog Boat.
Admission to the show is $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and younger when accompanied by an adult. Parking is $10 for entry to the Lake St. Clair Metropark, unless you have a seasonal pass.
Times are as follows:
- Thursday-Friday: noon-7:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
