From Aug. 31-Sept. 5, 2016, Saline will be holding their annual Saline Community Fair – and there’s a ton of great family fun in store. Come check out the rides, the food and the activities.
There will be carnival rides and fair food all weekend, so be sure to swing by for both in addition to the other great daily events.
On Wednesday, watch the farm animal judging throughout the day. At 8 p.m., don’t miss the Miss Saline Pageant.
Thursday is Hero’s Day, so all military members, law enforcement officers and firefighters get in free with the proper credentials. The toddler ride specials will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, and at 2 p.m. they can have ice cream with a hero in building B. Also Thursday is a junior livestock auction, super kicker rodeo and the beer barn for parents (this continues through the weekend).
Friday, check out the Princess and Pirate Party 10 a.m.-noon, also in building B. There will also be a talent show at 6 p.m., a pie contest after, and two hypnotist shows daily after 3 p.m. Find lots of other events, too.
The weekend is all about health and nutrition. Saturday is the Healthy Kids Fair, running 9 a.m.-2 p.m., so bring the kids to enjoy what’s in store. Then Sunday is Agriculture Day. Come shop the farmers market. There will also be a car and tractor show from 2 to 5 p.m.
Then Monday, which is Labor Day, admission is free. There will only be a charge for rides, but at discounted prices. Be sure to head here for fun on at a bargain!
Admission is $7 for anyone ages 11 and up, except on Friday before 1 p.m. when seniors get in free and everyone else gets in for $5. Rides are an extra cost, and armbands are available for online presale.
Hours are as follows:
- 9 a.m.-midnight Wednesday-Sunday
- 1-6 p.m. Monday
There’s so much more on the docket for the weekend. Get additional details on the 2016 Saline Community Fair at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in the Metro Parent calendar.
