The fun and fireworks return during the Troy Family Daze, which takes place Sept 13-16, 2018, at the Troy Civic Center. Families can spend four days winding down now that the first few weeks of school are complete.
Parents and children have the opportunity to try out more than 20 different carnival rides during the event.
Cannot stay away from music? The annual September festival can help with a three-day concert including Alan Turner, Funhouse Band and many others. And don’t forget to visit on International Day on Sunday for entertainment by FEBA Albanian dancers, Scottish bagpiper Jonathan Snow and more.
Instead of studying math and science, children learn about the enrichment through circus arts. See Rosco the Clown and animals waiting for a good petting. Plus, there’s a kids’ area full of games and camel and pony rides.
If you’re feeling like a chef, participate in the Chili Cook-Off on Saturday. The winner has his name engraved on the Traveling Trophy.
The sky lights with pops of color on Saturday at 9:30 p.m. with a fireworks show. Don’t miss out.
Admission to the event is $3 and ride bracelets are $25 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Festival times are as follows:
- Thursday: 4-9 p.m.
- Friday: 4-11 p.m.
- Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Sunday: noon-9 p.m.
Parking is available at Zion Christian Church. A free shuttle leaves from the church starting when the festival opens to a half-hour after close daily.
