Troy Family Daze

Moving to a new location at the Troy Civic Center, the fun and fireworks remain during the Troy Family Daze, which takes place Sept 17-20, 2015. Families can spend four days winding down now that the first few weeks of school are complete.

Parents and children have the opportunity to try out more than 20 different carnival rides during the event.

Cannot stay away from music? The festival can help with a three-day concert including Arizona Son, SAIL, and The Steve Taylor Three.

Don’t forget to visit the TAAL Indian Dancers, PACCM Hawaiian Dancers, the Motor City Irish Dancers, and more on Friday and Saturday for a taste in dance and culture.

Instead of studying math and science, children learn about the enrichment through circus arts. See Rosco the Clown and animals waiting for a good petting. Princesses (and of course princes!) meet the lovely Princess Caroline.

Enjoy the food including breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. But if you’re feeling like a chef, participate in the Chili Cook-Off on Saturday. The winner has his name engraved on the Traveling Trophy. Voting is $1 each. Proceeds go to the Great Lakes Burn Camp for Kids.

The sky lights with pops of color on Saturday at 9 p.m. with a fireworks show. Don’t miss out.

Admission to the event is $2 and ride bracelets are $25 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ($3-$4 per ride). Festival times are as follows:

  • Thursday: 4-9 p.m.
  • Friday: 4-11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon-9 p.m.
