A trip to the local apple orchard is a favorite fall event for families across southeast Michigan and Macomb County is a great spot to get your apple picking on.

And that’s not the only activity that orchards in the county offer. Among the Fujis and Galas, families can find other fall activities like corn mazes and pumpkin picking (along with sweet doughnuts and cider) at these spots, too.

Altermatt Farms

Blake Farms

Take a ride out to the 120-acre farm to take your pick of apples grown in the open-air field. Seasonal fruit also available as is a corn maze.

Hy’s Cider Mill

Stony Creek Orchard and Cider Mill

This family-owned farm has been operating since 1939 and offers fresh apple cider and hot homemade doughnuts. Plus u-pick Empire, Red Delicious, Ida Red and Northern Spy.

Get pumpkins and apples in the fall, and strawberries and cherries in the summer at this 100-year-old farm.
