It’s Your Torah to Explore at the Shalom Street Museum in West Bloomfield

Kids can venture through the five books of Moses at Shalom Street Museum's interactive exhibit 'It's Your Torah to Explore.'

Have you ever wanted to witness the world’s creation from its beginning? Shalom Street Museum’s new interactive exhibit, It’s Your Torah to Explore, running Oct. 18, 2015-August 2016, offers insight into God’s first miracles and introduces visitors to the biblical men and women whose soles were the first to touch dirt.

Travel back in time through the Bible – specifically the five books of Moses – with the Torah’s heroes as your guide. Learn how to have fun in the time of Creation. Brave the ball pit – the choppy waters that carry Noah’s ark to Mt. Ararat. Piece together animal puzzles and keep the miniature mammals afloat, two by two. Explore the tabernacle. Make your way through the tree house and meet Moses on Mt. Sinai. Little politicians in the making can dress up as judges and juries and take on cases to learn what it was like to argue one’s standpoint in biblical times. Then, pick up a pencil and scribe those judicial decisions into law.

On your way out, don’t forget to checkout the kosher delicacies in the onsite grocery store.

Toting babies too young to journey through the exhibit? Drop them off in the padded baby play area at the start of the exhibit where they can play and make faces in the room lined with mirrors.

Don’t neglect this opportunity to get up close and personal with the five books of Moses, Oct. 18, 2015-August 2016. Trek through a Middle East as seen in the lifetime of the prophet, but through a kid-friendly lens.
