The Michigan Science Center: Eat Well, Play Well and Moneyville

Does your New Year’s resolution include eating right, losing weight or financial planning? Let the Michigan Science Center help kick off 2015 the right way! Come explore two new interactive exhibits – Eat Well, Play Well and Moneyville – running Jan. 24-May 3, 2015 at this family fun Detroit location.

Do you know what you really just ate? Geared towards children ages 5-12 Eat Well, Play Well encourages a healthy lifestyle while emphasizing the importance of healthy eating and fitness. The display demystifies a “healthy serving,” demonstrates how to burn calories, shows how healthy eating can benefit overall health and more.

Money doesn’t grow on trees! Moneyville is an exhibit for the entire family exploring money’s roots. Come answer questions such as: What is money? Where did money come from and how does it work? With this new interactive exhibit, your young one can have fun while learning and building math skills.

These exhibits run Jan. 24-May 3, 2015 during regular Michigan Science Center hours, which are as follows:

  • Monday-Tuesday: closed
  • Wednesday-Friday: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon-6 p.m. (closed Easter Sunday April 5)

The cost is free with general admission and prior registration is not required.
