Rainforest Adventure at Cranbrook Institute of Science

This Oakland County spot presents its new temporary exhibit, open July 8-Sept. 5, 2016, for creature and plant lovers of all ages.

If your child is interested in learning about the creatures and plants of the rainforest, then get this: Cranbrook Institute of Science is opening its newest exhibit, Rainforest Adventure, on July 8 – and it’s only around temporarily through Sept. 5, 2016.

Fun fact: The rainforest is one of the world’s habitats that we know the least about. Now, explore the four layers of the mysterious rainforest in this maze-like exhibit, packed full of sights, sounds, plants and animals.

Kids can also experiment throughout the maze with physical and mental challenges of the rainforest for an all around fun and educational experience.

Aside from looking at the rainforest exhibit, don’t forget to check out all the other exhibits at the museum as well. Your children can also learn about the Ice Age, minerals, astronomy and more natural history.

This exhibit is free with general museum admission, which is $13/adults, $9.50/kids 2-12, free/kids 2 and under during the week and on Sundays. Admission on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. is $6.50/adults, $5.50/kids 2-12 and free/kids 2 and under.
