The halls are decked with Christmas ornaments from the past at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation as the Dearborn venue welcomes its newest exhibit, Through the Years with Hallmark, with a “preview” display that’s open through Jan. 5, 2020.

Families can take a step back into Christmases past as they take in more than 100 holiday ornaments that date as far back as 1973 – from glass bulbs to macrame designs and more.

Embrace old holiday memories and make new ones as you view ornaments like “The Grinch’s Christmas” from 1987, “Yesteryears: Train” from 1976 along with newer designs from modern Disney movies like Star Wars and Harry Potter – plus Barbie- and vintage car-inspired ornaments, too.

And the fun and nostalgia doesn’t end when this display closes in January, either – because it’s set to expand in 2020 into a display of 6,600.

Until then, the 100-plus-ornament preview of Through the Years With Hallmark exhibit is open 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. daily and is free with admission to the museum, which is $24/adults, $22/seniors, $18/kids 5-11 and free/kids 4 and under.
