'Best Case Scenario' Photo Series Shows Reality of Parenting

Kids are rambunctious little creatures. It’s a miracle that photographers get them to settle down long enough to capture at least a few family shots.

Instead of properly posing in matching outfits with fake smiles, one photographer is depicting family life for what it truly is: chaotic and beautiful. New York City resident, photographer and mom Danielle Guenther is the brains behind “Best Case Scenarios,” the hilariously spot-on photo series depicting families in their natural chaos.

“Danielle uses her ‘Best Case Scenario’ photo project to focus on the natural moments that would otherwise go by in such a blur of chaos that no one would stop to take a picture,” reports Earth Porm. “These fleeting, hectic moments are the best of all, worthy of a photo highlighting the true chaos of parenthood, which in Danielle’s opinion happens to be the most beautiful part.”

Here are just a few of the funny shots Guenther has captured:

Kid napping inside the dryer while another kid sits on top of it. Mom is still searching for the matching sock. Good luck finding it under all that laundry!

Parents napping on the couch while their little tykes have a Goldfish-eating, Mott’s-drinking party on the family room floor.

Dinnertime disaster complete with a spaghetti mess.

Time for a nice, relaxing show? Just kidding! Not when you’ve got that little boy on the loose.

The series is honest and entertaining. We’d say this photog is definitely winning.
