Congratulations to the Detroit Graduating Class of 2020!
We’re thrilled to present Detroit’s high schools with graduating seniors in 2020 — one of the most unique graduating classes in history. These students worked hard and persevered, even in the face of a pandemic that upended life as we know it, to hit a major milestone. Their graduation may not have been what they hoped for, but they have every reason to be hopeful about their futures.
In celebration, we’ve created custom commencement videos for 24 Detroit schools. It’s the sincere hope of the Detroit College Access Network (DCAN) and its partners — Grand Valley State University Charter Schools Office, The Skillman Foundation, the Community Education Commission and the City of Detroit — that these videos are a cherished keepsake of all that these students have accomplished. We applaud them today, and we expect them to do great things in the future!
