International Academy in Bloomfield Hills is Michigan’s top high school and the eighth best in the country, according to Newsweek’s latest annual rankings.
The 2015 America’s Top High Schools rankings, released on Wednesday, assess high schools using a broad range of data to find out which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college.
Of the top 10 high schools in Michigan, several offer the International Baccalaureate program and two are early/middle colleges, which provide a five-year program that includes a mix of high school and college courses, the Detroit Free Press reports.
