The Saline Area Players invite middle and high school students to a weeklong introduction to Shakespeare that culminates with a performance of a short, fun, adaptive version of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing on June 22.

In addition to the background on Shakespeare and the play, kids will work on stage presence and posture, voice projection and diction, expression and delivery of lines, basic stage directions, character development and other aspects that go into making a quality production.

A Week with Shakespeare is being presented by SALINE AREA PLAYERS under the direction of Catherine Rogers. Participants should wear clothes and shoes that they can move in easily, and bring a light snack and bottle of water. This workshop is geared toward kids in 6-12 grade and is limited to 20 participants. Advance registration is required by June 3, 2019.
