Description
Ann Arbor Civic Theatre will be holding a Lighting and Sound Design Workshop from 10 a.m till 4 p.m. on April 6, 2019. In the morning, kids experience hands-on practice in sound editing for theater, creating sound effects, sound board use and microphones for theater. In the afternoon, they'll explore theatrical lighting and design, including basic terms, hanging and cabling lights and how to run a soundboard.
Participants can do either one session or both. Full-day participants should bring a lunch. Instructor Brice O’Neal teaches technical theater at Community High School and runs A2CT’s Technical Theater Troupe. He will be joined by other local theatrical sound experts and by senior members of the Tech Troupe. Aimed at ages 12 and up.
